Description:
Peace River was started in 2002 by Tony Wiesenbacher, Freddy Wiesenbacher and Tony Rubin.
The 3 partners had previously owned a similar style fabric shop in Harare and Bulawayo which they sold in 2002 in order to relocate to Cape Town.
The shop is located in Greenpoint, right in amongst the Hub of the Cape Quarters and the new 2010 soccer stadium. 80% of the 1000 / m2 shop is packed with Curtaining and Upholstery fabrics and the balance with Zimbabwe sculpture, Hand made ceramics, vase and Gift ware.
The mood in the shop is always light hearted, with loud Jazz music playing and helpful knowledgeable staff in attendance.
There is always at least two owners in attendance as well as 2 decorators on site. In 2008 we curtained hundreds of homes and Guest Houses as well as 5 Hotels. We have our own Factory and Installation team and import most of our own fabrics directly.
On the wholesale fabric side, we have several successful fabric swatch books which are stock supported by ourselves.
